Dion has some more mystery projection box images and needs your help to identify where they could be from.

This month’s Precious Images carries on from the great response we had to the one in the last issue of Rewind. As before, we have lots of images of projection rooms but are not sure where they are - so your job is to help us identify them! And please remember, when taking photos in the future, to write down the locations, equipment and people pictured in them, to help future generations work out what they were of.

The first images (Figs. 01 & 02) shows a projection room with three machines in and a very steep rake. Because of the three machines I’m assuming it is a West End show. I know the Empire had Westrex in, so is this the original box before the 70mm was installed for Ben Hur? When I believe they built another box downstairs to eliminate the rake.
