The first in the long running "Precious images" series, where Dion shows some photographs taken by Bernard King.
Up here in Halifax we receive plenty of equipment donated by various people, but we also get a load of photos particularly I am sorry to say from deceased members. These images are all logged and filed away in the archive and may never see the light of day again. To try and address this I thought it would be a good idea to have a regular spot in Rewind in which to air these ‘Precious Images’.
Sometimes they will be from a member and others may concentrate on a particular topic. One thing that would be nice is if members can elaborate on some of the pictures as often it is just a photograph with no history.
For this selection I thought we would begin with some pictures from Bernard King who lots of us know from his fine models of projectors etc. but he was also a prolific photographer. In the archive we have several photo albums of his and here are a few examples taken from just one such album.
