With a special focus on the technology used by cinemas to create the illusion of life on the silver screen, the the trust boasts a world-class collection of cinema technology artefacts and a growing digital archive that forms an accessible hub of knowledge for just about anyone interested in finding out more about this fascinating, if often overlooked, side of our much-loved business.

The Projected Picture Trust goes far beyond collecting equipment - we have a huge range of working projection equipment and sound systems, which combined with the real-world expertise of our enthusiastic volunteers, allows us to install and operate setups for events such as film festivals, or props for film, TV and the stage.
